June holiday 2 (32nd week)

"Please condone his rudeness. He's just rabid over ambiguous paltry things that were not expedite."

June holiday task2

Task 2) Post 5 interesting facts about your favourite author and write down why he/she is your favourite in about 100 words. You must do some research on the author before writing up this post. The easiest way, of course, is to search in Wikipedia on the Internet.

I don't really have a favourite author as I don't read a lot but i enjoyed reading "PS I Love You" by Cecelia Ahern so I'll write about her.

5 interesting facts on Cecelia Ahern:
1) Cecelia Ahern is an Irish Novelist who is the daughter of the former Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

2) She is currently dating David Keoghan, an athlete and Olympic hopeful.

3) In 2004, when Cecelia Ahern was twenty-one, her first novel "PS I Love You" was the number 1 bestseller in Ireland (for 19 weeks), the United Kingdom, U.S., Germany and Holland. It is now sold in over forty countries.

4) Her second book, "Where Rainbows End" (U.S. Rosie Dunne), also reached number 1 in Ireland and the UK, and won the German CORINE Award in 2005.

5) Cecelia is the co-creator (along with Donald Todd) and producer for the ABC comedy Samantha Who? starring Christina Applegate, Jean Smart, Jennifer Esposito, Barry Watson, Kevin Dunn, Melissa McCarthy and Tim Russ.

I enjoy reading her book as it is full of emotions showing how a guy help his wife to get over his death by writing her letters months after he passed away. It is very touching with each letter ending with "PS I love you". The storyline is very good and interesting and she describes well and clearly. The story is very enjoyable to read. Highly recommended to those not interested in reading like me.

June holiday 1 (31st week)

I once watched a show on a father lecturing his favorite son for having an affair with a married woman but soon forgiving him. This other kids asked him what changed his mind and he said," People always look at things in one way or angle, which may be good or bad. However, it could be the opposite if you look at it from a different angle. Imagine some people think that you're a prudent and fervid person. However, others may dissent that you're strident, deleterious and always in a state of ferment.

Some people are filled with candor that sometimes when they talk about others, they may accidentally mortify them. Sometimes when people are jubilant, it may be a joke which is meant to be jocose, however, the other party may be hurt and tend to condescend.

Although my granduncle is senile, he could still remember things from the past. There was once he told me, "I used to have a doddering sage as a best friend. Others treated him like a puny but i think otherwise. There was once a conflagration broke out at the library where we were both studying in. He aegis me as we ran out of the burning building. We managed to escape unhurt. He was a brave and awesome friend."

People who go to visit Hawaii's volcanoes are advised not to pick or bring home anything from there like rocks or stones although it is not taboo as the volcanoes are cursed. It originated long time ago where it was a tradition to sacrifice people and throw them into the volcano when the volcano erupts. It was said that the volcano eruption will stop. Before the people were sacrificed, they all left a curse on the volcanoes. Although it is imprudent and a bizarre as now people learn geography and know the cause of volcano, there was this certain happening.

I don't know why but I love to watch disney mulan. The show is about how mulan, the only progeny of the family took her father's place to go for a battle. As she was a female, she had to dress as a male to take her father's place and she managed to hoax the gullible officer and commander and help fight for the war. As the ancestors in the family sent a dragon, mushu, to take care of her, she was resourceful enough to hind her identity. There was one component of the show where was able to protect the emperor and saved manifold lives in China. It was very brave for a lady to go for a war without even knowing much about man.

Some people have their own cache which to them is a bulwark against the evil or just a line that seperates them from the outside world. It is sometimes that people would like some time alone. Many teachers complained about our class of having students with asperity. Some of the teachers think that the whole class should be culpable when it was only the doings of some students. Those who were not involve in adding to the disgracefulness were still considered in complicity. Students sitting around those students were sometimes punished for bwing accomplice for distrupting the class during lesson. It was very unfair to some others. When the teachers alleged about our class to the vice principal, fortunately the vice principal knew that it was only the doing of some students who always cause the distruption in class.

Just heard that not too long ago, one relative of mine just recovered from cancer. But I'm not known to what cancer is it yet. It was said that she was lucky that she found out about it early and it was inchoate. As the doctors said that if found later, the body allows the cancer cells permeate to the rest of the body therefore without being incredulous about it and her fear of surgery, she importune for a surgery to remove it before it was too late. It was a success but ultimately it was partly her courage to subjugate her fear of surgery.

Heard of the ING Renaut and Ferrari? Yes. They are part of Formula One. Ever want to watch a race close up without spending money to go to another country? Well, you can fulfil your wish this year as 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship is coming to Singapore in the late September.

Singapore is honoured to be hosting the first night-time event in Formula One history. Singapore Grand Prix will be held on a new street circuit, with the city's famous skyline providing a truly spectacular backdrop.

The race was announced in May 2007 following an agreement of a five-year deal between Formula One Management (FOM) COE Bernie Ecclestone, Singapore entrepreneur Mr Ong Beng Seng and the Singapore Tourism Board.

"I am very pleased to welcome Singapore to the Formula One family and we look forward to this exotic addition to the championship," said Ecclestone at the time. "This will be the first fully lit street race in Formula One."

"As a night race we anticipate it will quickly establish itself as one of the most dramatic and atmospheric races on our calendar. I know the Formula One drivers, teams and fans are all looking forward to coming to Singapore next year."

The race is being scheduled at night so that it can be broadcast at a convenient time for European TV audiences as well as thrilling local fans. This is also expected to have a hugely positive economic impact on the region.

The track, which is 5.067-kilometre, will make use of public roads around the Marina Bay area and the two bridges across the harbour. The grandstand seating and hospitality areas lining the track will be able to accommodate more than 80 000 spectators, while a permanent put area with deluxe paddock facilities will be built adjacent to the existing Singapore Flyer Complex.

So those who are interested, mark your calendar and start your engine!
